The Gidan Madi Multi-Disciplinary Journal of Teacher Education (GMMJTE)
is a scholarly publication of the Federal College of Education, Gidan Madi, Sokoto State, Nigeria.
Preparations for its development commenced in 2023, culminating in the release of its maiden edition in July, 2025.
The Journal’s Implementation Committee was inaugurated by the pioneer Provost of the College,
Professor U. Z. Farouq, October 16th, 2023, in the wake of a proposal initiated and submitted by Muhammad Samaila,
the pioneer Head of the Department of Educational Psychology and Counselling in the School of Education and General Studies;
this bold stride led to his emergence as the Journal’s Secretary/Managing Editor. GMMJTE is duly registered with the
National Library of Nigeria and publishes biannually at minimum.
Aims and Objectives
i. To disseminate useful knowledge in society by publishing original empirical
researches, paper reviews, theoretical propositions, etc.
ii. To foster scholarly collaboration.
iii. To inculcate the attitudes of reading and writing in both students and teachers.
iv. To facilitate research efficiency through publishing of quality and original articles.
v. To facilitate coherent scholarly publications to uplift scholars' academic profiles.
Scope of the Journal
GMMJTE publishes educational works from all areas in Education.
Publication Schedule
GMMJTE is a bi-annual publication. It has July and December issues every year.

The journal is an open-access journal accessible on its website. Printed copies are also distributed free of charge to researchers and students under the discipline of Education.

Publication Charges
Although the journal is supported by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and publishes all accepted articles free of charge,
it applies a non-refundable processing fee of ₦10,000.

All article submissions undergo a peer double blind review process.
